My Most Recent Directing Project

The script calls for stage combat sequences between a Vampire and a Cowboy to be performed between each play. Using the spaghetti western genre as inspiration I decided to expand upon and film the Vampire vs Cowboy sequences. Below is a short script of the film that we used to create the sequences. These "introductions" were not revealed to audience. I have often wondered whether I should have made them a part of the film. A Tale of Responsibility.
Jacob married his child bride Heather Ann when she was 16. While Jacob was never cruel or unkind and treated her as an equal, Heather Ann dreamed of another life. She loved Jacob but always pictured herself in more metropolitan settings and with men that fit within that lifestyle.
She willingly gave herself to a vampire in her fourth year of marriage. Knowing that she would be able to live forever and Jacob would not she was willing to stay with Jacob “til death do us part”.
Jacob being a god fearing man tried to understand Heather Ann’s choice. But he couldn’t. Couldn’t live with this demon dressed in his wife’s flesh. Casting her out of the house and telling everybody that she was dead--not far from the truth--he settled into his new life.
Soon Jacob began to hear whispers about bodies being found around the territory, Men and women drained of blood with two puncture marks as the only visible wound. He prayed that the stories being told in hushed tones were the product of over active imaginations but he knew the truth. He knew what he should have done months ago but couldn’t. He knew his responsibility, his burden.
He has hunted her for seven years.

For him it is harmless fun a means to pass the time and he has a lot of time to waste.
He does not gamble with monetary means but with human life, dreams, blood.
Sara seeks revenge.
Revenge for a sister defiled and then sacrificed.
Revenge for the man she loved who believed he had a chance.
This is the second time Sara has attempted to get revenge.
The first time did not end well for Sara.

Lauren and Tami are sisters, by blood and honor. Orphaned at an early age when their parents were slaughtered by creatures that should not have existed. They escaped and managed to survive two years on their own trusting each other to do whatever is necessary to survive. By the time they were found by a Ronin they were more feral than human. The Ronin recognized their need for a purpose. He captured, tamed, and trained them in the ways of the Samurai. Once their training was complete they began hunting vampires across the American West.
The Sisters Samurai became a legend across the untamed western territories. Becoming living nightmares to the vampire vermin that preyed on families settling the west.
The Sisters Samurai soon realized how much they were feared. The Vampires turned an entire town into vampires. The Sisters rode into this seemingly innocent town and were quickly surrounded. Hours flowed into days as the sisters destroyed waves of the vampire hordes. It looked like they would survive the attack until the Vampires released the children. The Vampire children quickly overwhelmed the Sisters. Tami escaped. Lauren did not.
